Wedding at the Garden Botánico La Conceptión

From the beautiful streets of Málaga to the Botanical Garden, this precious love story unfolds. We found ourselves at the Church of Esperanza, where Marina and Andrés said "I do" in an emotional religious ceremony.

Andrés finally chose a large apartment in the bustling city center for his preparations. Upon arriving at the pedestrian street, we were surprised to find a small market full of handmade treasures. I love Málaga! Every corner always hides something new.

Meanwhile, at the elegant Palacio Solecio Hotel, Marina was waiting for us to begin her preparations. I say she was waiting for us because, for the first time in my entire career as a photographer, I arrived a few minutes late... I must say it wasn’t our fault. Despite arriving well in advance, we got stuck in the fully packed parking lot at Plaza de la Merced. We couldn’t go back or move forward... but it was only a few minutes.

The ceremony was religious and took place at the Church of Esperanza, an iconic church here in Málaga. According to what I’ve been able to find online, during the Spanish Civil War, a bombing severely damaged the church. However, both the image of Christ of Hope and the Virgin of Sorrows remained almost intact. This event was considered a true miracle, further increasing the devotion and faith towards these sacred images.

After the ceremony, the magic reached its peak when we arrived at the Málaga Botanical Garden, the chosen venue for the banquet. Upon entering, we were welcomed by a musical group that filled the air with their charming melody. During dinner, a talented saxophonist set the mood for the evening, leading to a lively party that would start outdoors and later move inside the palace.

Both the cocktail and the banquet were held outdoors, surrounded by the natural beauty of the garden. There were endless gifts and countless small and large details. Speeches had been prepared, but there were also impromptu moments. Small and great stories that made this wedding so special for both the couple and each guest, and why not, for me as well...
